Action Plan

30 minutes

Purpose:

To give participants an opportunity to review what has been learned and to have each individual decide what he or she can do, as a result of the workshop, when back on the job

Equipment:

Flipchart

Material:

Handout #13, "Action Plan"

Procedure:

  1. Ask participants to form small groups and discuss some steps that can be taken to create a positive environment in dealing with diversity in customer relations.

  2. Ask for group responses. Record these on a flipchart.

  3. Distribute Handout #13, "Action Plan," and ask each participant to follow the instructions on the Action Plan form. Allow about 10-15 minutes.

  4. Reconvene and ask for volunteers to share with the group what they will do differently because of this workshop.
